Joppa Dance Company returns to the Firehouse with its original holiday production, NUTCRACKAH! Joppa’s newest Nutcracker alternative has a Boston twist: Evil rats are NY Yankees, and our cast of characters tour the likes of the Boston Aquarium and Frog Pond, among other beloved sites. This fun and energetic production is full of festive music and dancing that will entertain the whole family! Running time: Approximately 1 hour, no intermission.
Joppa Dance Company is a non-profit 501c3 youth dance troupe founded in 1982, and based at The Dance Place in Newburyport. Joppa performs locally throughout the year, and also internationally with Performing Arts Educators. The company has had the pleasure or traveling and performing in Scotland, Spain, Italy and Greece. Joppa is made up of three age levels: Joppa Junior, grades 4-6; Joppa 2, grades 7 & 8; Joppa T2/Teen, grades 9-12.
