About The Publisher: Cheryl Lachendro

Hello, Macaroni Kid Friends!

I am so excited and truly honored to be your North Shore Macaroni Kid publisher! Many of you may know me from my time publishing Macaroni Kid Burlington and Macaroni Kid Wakefield for the past two and a half years. Now, I’m thrilled to bring that same energy and love for connecting families to fun right here on the North Shore.

A little about me: I live in Georgetown with my wonderfully supportive husband, Kevin, and our 14-year-old son, Kyle. My daughter Caroline is grown, married, and just made me a very proud “Mima” to the sweetest baby boy, Valentino Angelo, born in May 2025! Baby snuggles are the absolute best, and I feel so blessed.

Life has thrown me some challenges, too. In June 2021, I was diagnosed with breast cancer. After multiple surgeries and chemotherapy, I’m so grateful to say that I am cancer-free! Moving forward, all my treatments are focused on making sure it never comes back. This journey has given me even more appreciation for family, friends, and the joy of everyday moments.

Before becoming a stay-at-home mom, I taught elementary school for nearly 20 years, and I continue to stay deeply involved in education and my community. I currently serve on the Georgetown School Committee and as PTA President, both roles that allow me to advocate for kids, teachers, and families.

Here’s a little snapshot of who I am:
✨ Kevin and I have been married for 21 years.
✨ We’re big Disney fanatics—our happy place is anywhere Disney magic lives.
✨ The beach and ocean feed my soul, and I’m lucky to live so close to them.
✨ I’m Kyle’s #1 fan at all his games—whether it’s hockey, baseball, or lacrosse.
✨ I love connecting with people and making a difference in my community.
✨ I believe in always keeping a “glass half full” mindset and spreading smiles whenever I can.

I joined the Macaroni Kid family in 2018, and it has been one of the best decisions of my life. I love researching local family fun, sharing resources, and building connections with parents just like you. My goal is to bring you the best family calendar around—plus articles, guides, giveaways, and inspiration to make parenting a little easier and a lot more fun.

Be sure to check out the Event Calendar and subscribe to our FREE weekly newsletter so all the latest events and family resources land right in your inbox!
