We've partnered with many of our members to bring you 5 days of Winterfest events. Don't let the colder weather keep you cooped up inside, join us for some winter fun for everyone!
During Winterfest enjoy a downtown StoryWalk(tm) created by the Amesbury Public Library that will start at the Library and be in the windows of local businesses within walking distance. Read as you stroll downtown and enjoy the winter poems and facts in Winter Bees and other Poems of the Cold. Enjoyable for all ages!
Join Clare Dombrowski, from the Amesbury Public Library, for a lively and engaging story hour at the Industrial History Center! Each session features delightful stories, songs, dance, and a simple craft inspired by themes of industry, transportation, and Amesbury’s rich history. This free program is perfect for children ages 3 to 6, with younger siblings welcome to join the fun! Little ones will explore Amesbury’s fascinating past through stories, music, movement, and hands-on creativity. Get ready to sing, dance, and create while learning about the history that shaped our community. We can’t wait to see you there!
Have questions about what happens on a farm in winter or how crops are grown, maintained and harvested? Come explore sections of the 145 acre farm for a deeper understanding of the growing process and for a winter adventure during the offseason!
Registration: Required. Register at www.ciderhill.com/farm-events
Cost: Free with a $10/per person ages 3+ hold fee that will be 100% refunded upon arrival. Tickets are non-refundable unless inclement weather and the farm cancels the event.
Meeting Location & Departure
Meeting spot: Look for the “Farm Tour Here” sign outside the Farm Store.
Departure: Please arrive 5-8 minutes early to be ready for an on time departure.
Attire: Dress warmly and proper shoes for wet, icy and muddy terrain.
Ages: All ages welcome and encouraged.
Pets: Strictly prohibited per the Board of Health.
Bathrooms: Bathrooms are not available. Please plan accordingly.
