In March 2024, a local company opened its doors to fulfill its mission of spreading love and healing to children with cancer and other serious diseases. You Hold the Light, an online store, is focused on raising money to support children and their families when a child has been diagnosed with cancer or another serious disease. At You Hold the Light, 20% of the profits from all sales go to its mission so that children and their families may experience joy, hope, and love during such a difficult time.

Vani Rastogi-Kelly, owner of You Hold the Light, is a two-time cancer survivor and has experienced the anxiety and fear that comes with receiving a diagnosis of cancer. Now she is doing everything she can to brighten a dark situation. “Children are naturally filled with love and light,” explains Vani. “To bring a smile to a child’s face, to take their mind off of their current situation, to provide some relief to a child and their family is truly our mission.” The money raised through the sale of each product goes towards purchasing gifts for hospitalized children so that they may feel the joy of a new gift or toy, as well as providing funding towards researching a cure.
You Hold the Light has a variety of handmade products, including all natural beeswax and soy wax candles, uplifting art, spirit feathers, and children’s slime.
