Here are our TOP 5 things to do this weekend on the North Shore MA

1. Start your holiday season off with the Deck the Holidays celebration in Gloucester.

Christmas is coming!  And we here at Hammond Castle Museum cordially invite YOU to join us for our fourth annual Decks The Halls holiday celebration!

Our founder, John Hays Hammond Jr. loved to entertain and welcomed noted guests from all around the world to his castle home. In keeping with that tradition, we are offering guided and self-guided tours of Hammond’s storybook residence this holiday season.

Come savor the spirit of the holidays by exploring our museum, replete with Christmas Trees in nearly every room, numerous wreaths and candlelight throughout. Immerse yourself in a lost era of quiet luxury and holiday grandeur unlike any other on the North Shore.

Self-guided tours are available from 10am to 3pm in the days leading up to Christmas. The Museum and Museum Shop will close at 4pm.

2.Marini Farm is host to their annual Tree Jubilee. You don't want to miss this!

Tour the gallery of uniquely decorated trees and wreaths donated by local organizations, families, and businesses then choose the ones you want a chance to win! OVER 100 spectacularly decorated trees and wreaths will be raffled off (decorations and all!) at the end of the Jubilee. You never know what our donors will decorate their trees with! Proceeds benefit the Ipswich Humane Group to support the animals at the Ipswich Animal Shelter.

3. Mrs. Claus is visiting Cider Hill in Amesbury. You will want to visit her storytime.

Mrs. Claus and a few elves are flying in to the farm to spread holiday cheer! Mrs. Claus will ring in the season reading a few short holiday stories leaving plenty of time to take photos with each child/family. Each session is 45 minutes and limited to 35 children. Write letters to Santa while you wait your turn to snap pics with Mrs. Claus! Sip cocoa and snack on kettlecorn on your way out at the Flying Cocoa Mobile! Plus, take a family picture on the wooden sleigh in front of the farm store!

4. It is parade day in Beverly and in Newburyport!

5. As the weather gets colder, engage your family in cold weather sports! Enjoy public skating in Gloucester, Newburyport or Peabody.

Public skating will be held on Saturdays & Sundays from 2PM-4PM.  There may be extended times available during school vacations.  Please check the rink calendar as times are liable to change.
