Amesbury is the Finish Line for the 2016 FIREBALL RUN! Please join us on October 1 for a day full of music, entertainment and family fun and be part of the world's largest active recovery effort for missing and exploited children.
The FIREBALL RUN® is an adventure-travel television series and live-action competition. Driving teams are provided clues scripted around points of interest. When solved, the answer reveals a location which teams drive to, accomplishing a task or activity upon arrival.
More importantly, each team is assigned a different missing child, provided with flyers of the child, and instructed to distribute these flyers at every opportunity. Over the past nine seasons the teams have aided in the recovery of 48 missing children!
With missing children as the focus for this event we're hosting a Family Fun Zone and Child Safety Fair at the finish line. Enjoy free facepainting, music courtesy of WNBP, and free games, activities, and snacks at the McDonald's tent, where Ronald McDonald will be available for pictures. More special appearances include Amesbury Police Department mascot "McGruff" and Amesbury Fire Department mascot "Sparky." There will also be kid-friendly information on gun safety.
Parents won't want to miss the car seat safety demonstration provided by APD officer Dave Clark, courtesy of the Highway Safety Bureau. The Molly Bish Center at Anna Maria College will also be on hand to offer free child-identification kits for safekeeping of key information such as fingerprints and a current photo of each child.

12-6 PM: Pedestrian Village with the 'Firestarter Music Festival', Food Trucks, and Budweiser Beer Garden (Water Street Parking Garage - Upper Deck)
4 PM: 2016 FIREBALL RUN Finish Line Parade with Red Carpet Finish (Main Street to Market Square)
Immediately following the parade FIREBALL RUN vehicles will be on display on Water Street until 6 PM. While you're in town be sure to visit our local shops and eateries, many are within walking distance!
