Looking for the best Halloween-decorated houses on the North Shore? We've started searching town by town for homes, streets and neighborhoods known for going BIG for Halloween!

Because these are private homes and decorations can change from year to year, please consider this a growing 2026 list. We'll continue adding and confirming displays throughout October. If you know of a house we missed, send it our way!

🎃 Newburyport

👻 13 Tilton Street

This is one North Shore Halloween house worth putting on your radar!

The Page family's 13 Tilton Street Haunted House has been a Newburyport Halloween tradition for more than two decades. Past displays have included more than 100 characters, dozens of skeletons, light-up pumpkins, clowns, zombies, pirates, spiders, a graveyard, toxic-waste scenes and even a butcher shop.

The display has become so popular that hundreds of people visit the neighborhood around Halloween. In 2025, neighbors even asked the city to restrict vehicle traffic on Tilton Street during trick-or-treating because of the number of visitors.

2026 STATUS: 🟡 We're watching for confirmation of this year's display and hours before you make a special trip.

🧙 Salem

If your family wants to see decorated houses, Salem is naturally one of the best places to wander. You don't necessarily need individual addresses — several neighborhoods are known for residents decorating their historic homes for October.

🎃 Federal Street

Start around Federal Street and explore toward Flint Street. Local residents have repeatedly recommended this area for Halloween decorations, particularly the southern end of Federal Street.

👻 Summer Street

Another local favorite is Summer Street near Mt. Vernon Street, where residents have reported an elaborate "creepy carnival" display in previous years.

One frequently recommended address is 69 Summer Street.

🕷️ Broad Street

Walk Broad Street and the surrounding neighborhood for another cluster of decorated homes. Past visitors have specifically mentioned 52 Broad Street, along with creative handmade displays throughout the neighborhood.

💀 River Street & Flint Street

River Street off Federal Street and nearby Flint Street have also been recommended by Salem residents for impressive decorations.

🎃 Dearborn Street

Don't overlook North Salem! Dearborn Street and its surrounding side streets have been recommended for Halloween decorations and can be a fun alternative to the busiest downtown streets.

We haven't yet confirmed that every one of these homes will decorate in 2026, so treat them as places to watch rather than guaranteed displays.

💀 Peabody

Glendale Avenue Skeleton House

A Glendale Avenue homeowner has previously created a huge Halloween display featuring a 12-foot skeleton, giant werewolf and plenty of other creepy characters.

The display became a destination for families driving through Peabody and has also been used to raise money for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital through the Skeletons for St. Jude campaign.

2026 STATUS: 🟡 Past favorite — we're looking for confirmation that the display is returning this October.

Slys Family Haunt

Another Peabody lead we're watching for 2026 is Slys Family Haunt, which appears on current Boston-area home-haunt listings.

Drew Halloween Town

Also appearing on current Halloween-display listings is Drew Halloween Town in Peabody.

We'll update with locations and visitor information as they're publicly confirmed.

🎃 Beverly

While we're still looking for specific 2026 residential displays in Beverly, families have a guaranteed destination at Long Hill.

Halloween on the Hill

576 Essex Street, Beverly

Halloween on the Hill returns October 1–30, 2026. The wooded property is transformed with thousands of glowing hand-carved jack-o'-lanterns, an eerie graveyard, haunted pirate ship, scarecrows and larger-than-life Halloween scenes.

This one requires admission and advance tickets, but it's a great addition to your Halloween-decoration tour.

👻 Danvers

We're watching for residential displays in Danvers, but families looking for a bigger Halloween destination can also check out Connors Farm.

The farm's fall season includes its Halloween-themed corn maze, and nighttime offerings include the Flashlight Maze and Hysteria Haunted Fields beginning October 2.

Gloucester appears on regional Halloween-decoration maps, so we know there are decorated homes to discover here. We're working on identifying specific 2026 displays and addresses.

Ipswich also appears on Greater Boston Halloween-decoration maps, but we haven't yet found reliable public confirmation of specific residential displays for 2026.

Essex is another community included on regional Halloween house maps. We're searching for this year's standouts and will add them as they're confirmed.

🕷️ Hamilton

Hamilton has had homes included on regional Halloween-decoration maps as well. Check back as we get closer to Halloween for 2026 locations.

🎃 Manchester-by-the-Sea

Manchester-by-the-Sea has also appeared on Greater Boston Halloween-decoration maps. We're looking for the homes putting on displays this year.

👻 Amesbury

We're still hunting for Amesbury's best 2026 Halloween houses.
